Hungarian Tourism Office looking to develop closer relationship with the tourism shareholders in Turkiye

Objectives
The objective of the project was to increase visibility of the destination among tour operators and help drive more travellers to the country.

Challenges
Hungary is primarily recognized for Budapest, and it is featured as a destination in multi-destination tours from Turkey.

Tactics
To showcase diverse options for tour operators beyond Budapest and highlight Hungary as a compelling destination for 4-5 day tours, we adopted a direct approach with the audience. In conjunction with a workshop for tour operators in Istanbul, we conducted sales visits with representatives from the Hungarian Tourism Office. Furthermore, we undertook sales visits in Istanbul and selected cities to present and promote the destination. Ultimately, a FAM Trip was organized, inviting 10 selected agencies with high sales potential.
